The scorching heat came unfashionably early to South Central Texas this June, but that didn't stop some of the Lone Star Section's best cars from showing up and showing Gateway Classic Cars' Caffeine & Chrome how it's done!
In all, nine cars made the event, including a 450SL from one of our sister chapters, which was absolutely gorgeous, and a Designo Selenite Grey AMG GT that even the hotrod crowd was caught mouths agape over!
After a bit of socializing and walking around the concourse, the group took the opportunity to cool off inside Gateway Classic Cars while taking in the rows Cobras, F100s, Chevelles, etc. What a blast from the past, and worth the visit!
The group then headed to lunch at Karuse's, where, if you've never been... you've never had such delicious Deutsche cuisine served with a little "Texas flair"!
The Texas heat and bratwurst and sauerkraut with spicy mustard never met a cooler group of members than the Lone Star section.
